Fat Dissolving

 Aqualyx or Deso is a new product, developed for the reduction in stubborn areas of fat. It is NOT a weight-loss product, but rather, a treatment for what remains after weight has been lost from other methods OR reduction in small pockets of fat which have just ‘always’ been there.

Patients typically see results after just one treatment. The smaller the area, the quicker and more significant the results typically. For example, a small double chin will respond to less treatment than a large abdomen. Treatment can be repeated every 4-6 weeks up to 8 times.

What to expect

Anesthetic cream will be applied to your skin beforehand, so the injection process is not typically painful. After approximately 30 minutes post injections, a warmth in the area is usually experienced, similar to sunburn, however this subsides after 3-4 hours. At this point, the product has dissolved all of the fat that it has come into contact with and is now inactive. In the next step body has to ‘clear up’ all of the broken down fat cells and resulting fluid that arises there as a result of the inflammation. This takes approximately 2 weeks and can be sped up with techniques that improve lymphatic drainage, such as massage and wearing tight clothes like spanks and stockings (depending on the area treated). After 2 weeks, you will start to notice the area shrinking and this should continue until 4 weeks post treatment. At this point you can decide whether or not you wish to repeat the cycle and dissolve away some more fat from that area.
